TODAY’S STATEMENT OF STRENGTH
“Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.” -Lyndon B. Johnson
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
Let me give you a statement of strength on Minute with Maxwell right now. Lyndon Johnson said, ‘Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.’
Hey, I'm John Maxwell. Thanks for joining us today. That is a powerful statement. Lyndon Johnson says, you know what? We really can't go back and fix yesterday. We can't go back and recover it. But tomorrow is still in our hands. We can win it if we want to, but if we don't do well, we can also lose it. In my book, Make Today Count, I talk about the fact that we over exaggerate what we can do tomorrow; but we underestimate what we can do today. And Lyndon Johnson said that during adversity and difficulties we want to focus on today. In fact, here's my statement for you that kind of complements what President Johnson said. The best way to win tomorrow is take care and control today. So, don't worry about tomorrow. Just focus on today. Do it right; tomorrow will take care of itself.
Thanks for joining me today on Minute with Maxwell.
