Todd Nesloney – Navasota, TX

Todd Nesloney is the Principal/Lead Learner at Webb Elementary School in Navasota, Texas. Todd was a classroom teacher for 7 years before taking over a struggling campus as principal, bringing in a completely new staff, and using his creative ideas to transform a campus.  His mission is to ensure that every child is well educated and cared for, knowing that they matter, are valued and hold worth.

Todd is passionate about education and innovation. He believes in doing what’s best for kids despite limitations, whether environmental, financial or other challenges. Todd also travels and speaks about his innovative practices and how to stop making excuses on why things can’t be done for students.  Additionally, he speaks about his use of technology in the classroom and school, giving educators ideas on how to continually utilize the tools at their disposal to create the best possible learning environment for children. He was a Classroom Champions teacher, worked with Olympic and Paralympic athletes in his classroom and school. Todd also serves as a member of the Scholastic Principal Advisory Board and the Remind Advisory Board.

He has been recognized by the National School Board Association as one of the 20 to Watch in Education, the Center for Digital Education as one of Top 40 Innovators in Education, the BAMMYs as the National Elementary Principal of the Year and the National Elementary Teacher of the Year, and the Texas Computer Education Association as Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year.  He has earned White House recognition as a Connected Educator Champion of Change.

Todd is also an award-winning author for his work in co-authoring “Kids Deserve It!” and “Flipping 2.0: Practical Strategies for Flipping Your Class” and his new release “Stories from Webb”. He has also published a children’s book, “Spruce & Lucy”.
